Born in Paris France in the 1980's when clothes were still made to be worn often and fit correctly, (like they were made especially for you). When even "pret a porter" (off the rack clothes) looked and fit like "haute couture" (fashionable, custom made clothing of the highest quality.)
Clothes were elegant yet also accommodated the everyday active lifestyle of women: working, walking, biking or riding a vespa. It was a time when clothes made you feel "heureuse" ( happy) and skirts were the ultimate symbol of female allure, beauty and power. These were the clothes that were held on to over the years and eventually found their way into the closets of future generations.
Le Mireille Marche wants to reintroduce the French lifestyle to women through the lens of 1980s Paris. Our clothing has one “raison d’être” or reason for being, to make women feel très sportive, très élégant, (athletic and elegant.)
We are a skirt centric global brand. Our expert team is based in Europe, Asia and New York City and is composed of designers, pattern makers, tailors and merchants, who all share one common goal: to create clothes that make you feel athletic and elegant. Our clothes are made from the most premium fabrics and many are hand made or have hand stitched details.
